If you're scheduling Instagram content ahead of time rather than posting one carousel at a time, a little organization up front saves real time later. This page covers a practical batch workflow using this tool.
Mixing Portrait and Square carousels across the same content series can look inconsistent on your profile grid. Pick one preset (Portrait or Square) for a given content series or theme, and stick with it across every carousel in that batch — this tool remembers your last-used preset selection within a session, but it's worth deciding deliberately rather than by default.
Gather and lightly edit (crop, color-correct, straighten) all your source images in your photo tool of choice before bringing any of them into the carousel splitter — switching back and forth between a photo editor and this tool per-image is slower than finishing all your source images first, then running each one through the splitter back to back.
This tool names each export carousel-slides.zip by default. When batch-processing several carousels in one sitting, rename each downloaded ZIP immediately after it downloads (for example, to match your scheduled post date or theme) — otherwise you'll end up with several identically-named files that are easy to mix up later.
If your profile has a deliberate visual rhythm (for example, every carousel in a series always has exactly 4 slides), decide that up front and apply it consistently across the batch rather than letting slide count vary image-to-image based on whatever "looked right" for each one individually — unless varying it intentionally serves your content, consistency here is a one-time decision that's easy to maintain if set early.
